What is a treat really?

We are working with Maddie to sleep through the night without having to use a pull-up. Most nights she has no issues as long as she doesn't drink too much water right before bed and goes to the potty. However, both of these can be an issue.

Kevin and I both drink lots of water, so the example is set to always have a glass of water. I'm not entirely sure why she doesn't think it's a great idea to go potty before bed. Then again, she is 4, so there are lots of things she says and does that I don't quite understand. To help her, I mentioned that if she listens to what we say (about the water and potty) and makes the effort and has a lot of successful nights of waking up dry, then maybe she'll get something special. To which she replies, Something like a special granola bar**? I was thinking more along the lines of a movie or book. But hey, if she thinks a granola bar is a special treat, we'll go with that.

**I should add that a special granola bar is a Special K granola bar. Kevin mentioned to her that they were expensive, so they are something special. I love how literal a kids mind can be!
