My grown up little boy

Two weeks ago, against my better judgement, I decided it was time that Miles transition to a toddler bed. So, I got out the impact driver (most awesome tool ever) and removed the front side (drop down death trap) from his crib. As I was making a ruckus, Miles climbed the stairs to his room to see what was up. I had purchased a crib size bed rail months ago. I was getting all the parts out of the packaging to be able to put it together, when he came into the room. Miles was so excited to be able to climb into his bed all by himself. He had the big goofy grin and he sat with Baa Baa on the bed. He insisted in helping me put together the bed rail and make sure that I had every part just when I needed it.

Nap time was the first time he would use the new bed. My big concern was would he actually stay in his bed. Madster moved right from her crib to her big twin bed. So she couldn't really climb out herself and wouldn't get up out of it by herself until she was 3. Miles was great. He stayed in bed for his nap and at night. In fact, most mornings, he'll happily sit in bed singing and playing with his animals until someone comes in to get him. Frankly, he is one of the happiest go-luckiest kids I have ever met, so I should expect nothing less. Now if only the time comes for him to be potty trained would it be this easy!
